American Lab Design is Serious About the Enviroment

Sustainability means engaging in development that meets the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Achieving sustainability will enable the earth to continue supporting human life as we know it. Gabriel Logan is dedicated to creating and offering sustainable wood-based store fixture solutions for the retail environment. As a wood-based manufacturer, we take the responsibility of helping sustain our environment very seriously. We are proactively finding ways to better design, engineer and manufacture our products to reduce unnecessary waste and formaldehyde emissions, reuse materials and recycle left-over supplies. Most recently we switched to purchasing only California Air Resources Board (CARB) Certified medium-density fiberboard (MDF). The CARB Certified MDF which we use as the basis for all of our wood-based store fixtures has helped to drastically reduce formaldehyde emissions in the products we produce. Some other green initiatives we have implemented include:


Recycle

  • All metal and aluminum scrap is recycled
  • All cardboard is recycled
  • All paper is recycled


Reuse

  • All saw dust recycled so it can be reused in the local landfill to prevent rain water runoff


Reduce

  • All Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) which is used to manufacture slatwall and store fixtures is CARB Certified
  • Water-soluble adhesive is used in the manufacturing process
  • The manufacturing plant is in the process of converting all lighting to T-8 high efficiency lighting
  • We offer LED lighting in all illuminated fixtures and showcases
